So, you decided to make a YouTube channel. Great! We look forward to the amazing content that you are promoting. Before diving, it should be noted that maintaining a YouTube channel requires a lot of time and planning. Are you ready for it?

Unlike other social media platforms, YouTube only hosts video content. If you create a YouTube channel to only upload videos and you don't want to support the platform, you might want to do a review.

You must take the time to plan, film, edit, market and analyze your content consistently. You also need to identify your brand goals and plan how videos can help you achieve those goals. If you can spend the right time and energy on the platform, you can create interesting and shared content for your growing audience

Create a Google account

Before you start recording video content, you need to set your YouTube channel. This can be a little complicated. As you know, YouTube is Google's property. When you register for a Gmail account, you will automatically get access to your YouTube account, Google+ account, and more

Depending on your business, you might not want to link your email to your YouTube business channel, especially if you need to share account access with team members or agency partners. We recommend that you create a shared e-mail account that can be used by many people.

First visit Google and click "Enter" in the upper right corner.

Click "Create Account" at the bottom of the page.

You will see an option to call to create an account for yourself or to manage your business. Because your YouTube account is for your business, select "How do I manage my business.

To officially create your Google Account, enter your name, email address and password before you click "Next". Then enter your recovery email address, as well as your date of birth, gender, and telephone number. Note: Google requires that all users are at least 13 years old.

Finally, agree to Google's privacy policy and terms of use and confirm your account with a code that will be sent via text or phone call. Congratulations! You are now a proud owner of a Google account.

Create a branded YouTube account

Now you have a Google account, you can publish almost great video content.

But we haven't finished - you need to create a YouTube account for the brand now. With brand profiles, users can manage editing permissions and make online presence more holistic.

Visit YouTube to get started. Notice in the upper right hand corner that you might have already logged into your new Google Account. (If not, click Sign in and enter your new username and password for the Google account.)

After logging in, tap your account module and click "My Channel" in the drop-down menu.

You will see an option to create a channel immediately. DO NOT enter your name and click "Create Channel". Instead, click "Use a business or other name" below.

You must now be asked to create a branded account. Enter your dealer account name and click "Create". Note: You can update or change your channel name at any time using your account settings. So don't worry if you are not 100% sure of the name you chose.

Customize your YouTube brand account.

Now let's personalize your brand account. Click "Customize Channels" to get started.

First add a channel icon and channel image. This is the first part of your YouTube account that users see when they visit. Therefore, use images that are easily recognizable and relevant to all your brands.

To add a channel icon, click the standard blue profile photo in the upper left corner of your channel to upload a picture. Note: after uploading, your channel icon needs a few minutes to appear.

Then upload your channel cover. Click the blue "Add Art Channel" button in the middle of your channel. For specific design guidelines, see the YouTube Art Template Template.

After uploading your channel icon and graphic, on the "All" tab, add a channel description, business email address, and links to your company's website and other social platforms.

After the main profile is complete, it is time to add the finishing touches! Before we go any further, it's important to clarify one thing: You can adjust the appearance of your YouTube channel for unsubscribed customers and visitors. This means that unsubscribed viewers will see different content presented by specific subscribed viewers. Pretty cool, right?

One of the most important ways to use this feature is to create a YouTube channel trailer. A channel trailer is a video version of your description and is shown to all viewers who leave.

Ready to get started? First, make sure channel matching is turned on.

Then make sure that the "Adjust channel layout" option is activated and click "Save".

After setting up a personalized channel, upload your trailer. Click the upload arrow in the upper right corner and select your video file. Be sure to add keywords to the trailer name and description.

After uploading your video, click the "New Visitors" tab on your channel homepage. Then click "Channel Trailer".

Finally, select the trailer that you uploaded or enter the URL of the video you want to send and click "Save".

Set permissions on your YouTube brand account.

Before you start implementing your marketing plan on YouTube, you need to decide which team you need to access your account. If you give team members access, you can manage the channel from their own Google Account.

When you provide access to a Google Account, there are three role options:

Owner: The owner has full authority to edit all Google properties in the company. You can add or remove managers, edit business information, respond to ratings, and more.

Manager: Managers have the same editing rights as the owner, except that they cannot add or delete page roles or delete lists. Anyone who edits a YouTube channel must be a manager or owner.

Communication manager: Communication managers can respond to a number of other actions, but they cannot use YouTube video managers, upload content, or view analytics.

To add people to your account, touch the Google Account icon in the upper right corner to open the drop-down menu and go to Settings.
