On-screen character Mary Pat Gleason, most popular for featuring in 'A Cinderella Story' and 'Companions', has kicked the bucket at 70 years old after a fight with malignant growth.

Her companion Ron Fassler, who featured in 'Guards', broke the updates on her demise via web-based networking media on Wednesday evening and requested that fans raise a glass to her.

He expressed: "Mary Pat Gleason, one of the dearest and best individuals I have ever had the delight to know, spent away the previous evening at age 70.

"She has 174 credits on her IMDB page (with one unreleased film still to come), yet she was far beyond a superb on-screen character: she was exceptional."

He went on: "So mindful, so interesting, thus delectable to associate with, that I think that its difficult to envision a world without her sparkling nearness and grinning face.

"My heart goes out to all who knew and adored her (each of the one you million). We should all raise a glass to her tonight as one and offer a last toast and an affectionate goodbye in her memory."

Mary Pat Gleason showed up in US sitcom 'Mother' and the 2004 romantic comedy adolescent film 'A Cinderella Story', which highlighted Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray.
